At Sunbury Primary, Physical Education primarily focuses on the Fundamental Movement Sequences (running, jumping, throwing, catching, balancing, kicking, punting, striking balls with a bat and racquet and dribbling a ball) from introduction through to mastery for each sequence. We do this through a range of targeted drills, individual and team challenges and modified games that utilise the FMS. As the students develop their skills towards mastery, we focus on developing the FMS in sport specific games and developing an understanding the role strategy plays in organised sports. Years 4-6 students have many opportunities to represent Sunbury Primary at an inter-school level in a wide range of individual and team sports.
The House Athletics saw years 3-6 students competing in events for their house.
